## WHAT IS IT?
This model explores how citizens react to their governments economic resources are being distributed amongst it citizens and refugees and how the investment of UN or governments around the world (we will refer to the m as UN) could help the cituation.
## HOW IT WORKS
The treasury of the host country has an amount of money (**initial-coins**) that it equally distributes among both citizens and refugees as the variable of **coins**. The UN can invest into the host country's treausry (**coins-invested**) every certain amount of ticks (**investment-day**).The ticks can be thought of in times of days, month or years. Once an investment was made into the treasury, the treasury then equally distributes this investment which is added to the citizens' and refugees' **coins**. Every tick people spend certain amount of coins for their essentials (**coins-spent**) which are deducted from their total amount of **coins**. If the citizens' **coins** gets below certain threshhold **coins-angry**, the citizens get angry at refugees for reducing their resources. If the citizens' **coins** go below half the threshhold (**coins-angry**/2), the citizens start hating the refugees
(how to use the model, including a description of each of the items in the Interface tab)
## THINGS TO NOTICE
Tan colored poeple are citizens, blue colored people are refugees (get it cause they're _blue_). Citizens when they have less than **coins-angry** get status of **citizens-angry** and turn red and when they have the status of **citizens-hating** they turn darker red.
There are two plots. Plot "Coins Owned" tracks how many **coins** one resident has at a certain tick. Plot "Number of Angry citizens" tracks the amount of angry and hating citizens per tick.
## THINGS TO TRY
Try experimenting with the variable sliders to see how much each variable influences the overall system.
## EXTENDING THE MODEL
A coin tracker switch could be added. But for that the **coin** variable should be turned into a global rather thatn a turtle-owned feature
## BASIC EXAMPLE
